What does RISE stand for?

 

Resilience: Build skills to better manage operational stress and maintain wellness.

Intervention: Access evidence-based mental health treatment.

Support: Connect with clinicians who understand public safety work to gain support.

Education: Learn practical tools to strengthen mental health and resilience.

The service was created with several priorities in mind:

Making mental health support easy to access
Reducing barriers and stigma related to seeking care
Providing prevention-focused supports alongside intervention services
Offering evidence-based care tailored to PSP experiences
Creating flexible options that individuals can access when and how they choose

Services Include:

  1. Self-directed online mental wellness and resilience programs (CBTm)
  2. Live virtual and in-person psychoeducational classes (CBTm)
  3. Evidence-based group interventions
  4. Individual psychotherapy and psychiatric consultation
  5. Medication consultation and management
  6. Navigation support to help individuals connect with appropriate care
